HIGH PERFORMANCE COATINGS

Our PVD coatings improve service life and performance of metallic components:  Our coatings decrease wear and friction (coefficient of friction of 0.1 in dry condition), and increases the hardness. Therefore, service components maintain their functionality over much longer periods of time. Molds will also have better release properties.

The PVD coatings offered by TSI are 2-5 microns thick and are marketed under the name Certess®. We provide different types of coats including: 

Certess DLC

Base: Amorphous carbon (a-C: H)

Hardness: 1500-2500 HV

Areas of use: Tools, injection molds, dry friction, biomedical

Special features: temperature limit of use: 250 – 300 ° C

Certess X and N

Base: Cr

Hardness:> 1500 HV

Areas of use: Tools, injection molds

Special features: conservation of hardness after maintenance up to 600 ° C

Certess Ti

Base: Ti

Hardness: 2200 HV

Areas of use: Tools, biomedical, aerospace, military

Special features: resistance to oxidation up to 600 ° C

Certess SD

Base: Ti / B

Hardness: 2600 HV

Fields: Molding

Areas of use: Tools, injection molds, dry friction, biomedical

Special features: temperature limit of use: 250 – 300 ° C
